Marquette, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – The Marquette Area 4th of July Fireworks committee is set to present “The Greatest 4th in the North” fireworks show this Saturday, July 4th, 2015 at the Mattson Lower Harbor Park in downtown Marquette.
Fireworks Committee President Tom Baldini joined the SUNNY Morning Show with Walt & Mike this morning to preview the fireworks display and all of the other activities going on in Marquette this weekend.
Baldini talked about the Marquette 4th of July Parade at 2:00pm on Saturday, presented by the Marquette Kiwanis, as well as the 30th Annual Marquette County Exchange Club International Food Fest, which is taking place at Mattson Park.
The annual festival of food, drink and live entertainment runs from Noon to 10:30pm today through Saturday.
He added that the fireworks backup date is Sunday, July 5th, in case of inclement weather.
Baldini also talked about a special 50/50 raffle fundraiser lead by the Marquette and Marquette West Rotary Clubs will allow people to contribute to help fund future fireworks.
The winning ticket number will be placed on the last float in the parade this Saturday, with the potential of a $12,000 winning purse.
