Escanaba, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – An Escanaba man convicted of the stabbing death of his wife last September has been sentenced to life in prison.
37-year-old Kallay Batchelor was sentenced to life in prison without parole in accordance with state mandatory sentencing guidelines.
Batchelor was found guilty of first-degree premeditated murder in May following a trial in Delta County Circuit Court.
Batchelor’s attorney says he will file an appeal of the guilty verdict.
