Gladstone, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – A Delta County bridge was hit by a semi-truck yesterday afternoon.
According to Gladstone Public Safety, the accident happened just before 5:00 p.m. when a semi-truck hauling a skidder on a lowboy trailer hit the M-35 railroad viaduct in Gladstone.
The boom on the skidder exceeded the posted 13’6″ clearance height of the bridge.
It was knocked off of the trailer in the accident.
The driver of the semi, a 52 year-old Wilson man, was ticketed for carrying a load higher than the posted legal limits.
No injuries were reported.
