Delta County, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – Authorities in Delta County say one person died and eight others were injured in a two car accident last night near the town of Schaffer.
According to the Delta County Sheriff’s Office, the accident happened north of M-69 on E.5 Road, just after 7:00 p.m.
Reports say a vehicle with seven people in it was westbound on Felch Grade Trail when it failed to stop at the intersection and hit a southbound vehicle traveling on E.5 Road.
The driver of the southbound vehicle was killed in the crash.
All seven occupants in the westbound vehicle and one person from the southbound vehicle were hospitalized.
No names have been released and conditions are unknown at this time.
