Marquette, MI – 08/26/2019 – Today is Northern Michigan University’s annual Fall Fest! It is the first day of the fall semester for NMU students. Every year, local businesses and on campus organizations set up booths and tables to allow students to get an idea of what they have to offer. Students can stop by these booths and receive free items and information!
This was the fist year Northern had fall fest in the Academic Mall instead of outside the Northern Center (formally University Center). The sidewalks were packed with new and returning students who were interested in club sports such as the NMU Women’s Rugby Team (Northstar Rugby), on campus organizations like NMU Conservation Crew, and various local businesses who were giving away prizes and yummy treats. Student’s especially loved the free pizza that was being handing out by Domino’s, Aubree’s Pizza, and Main Street Pizza! Jimmy Johns was giving out mini subs and cups, and Jilbert Dairy was there with free ice cream!

Fall Fest is going on now until 3 o’clock! Stop by the Academic Mall on Northern Michigan University’s campus to get in on the back to school festivities.
