The 2019 Pioneer Days Firework display over Teal Lake. Negaunee, MI – July 13, 2019 – This evening we took a drive up to Negaunee to celebrate the last of this year’s Pioneer Days Festival. We found a sit on the Teal Lake shoreline and settled in, watching the sun set as hundreds of people filled in for the final hour of Pioneer Days.
Around 10:30pm the barge on Teal Lake set off their first firework of what would turn out to be a show that did not disappoint. The fireworks display featured shots of all colors that filled the sky. They twisted, screeched, and echoed across the lake inciting “oos” and “aws” from the crowd with every new burst of light.

It was a beautiful night on Teal Lake in Negaunee.

We saw every color imaginable in the sky tonight!
It sure was a great show.
They consistently shot of fireworks for about 35 minutes!
Everyone enjoyed a night out looking at the colors in the sky.

This was a neat multi-shot display.
They had fireworks that shot out in all different directions.
People loved watching tonight’s fireworks.
Some of the fireworks were so big they filled the whole sky!
The beach at Teal Lake was packed with people!
Couldn’t have asked for a better night.
They set off fireworks at all different heights.
This one was especially impressive.
There were cars parked on US-41 all the way around the lake.
Other people were setting off smaller fireworks along the shoreline too.

They had a large variety of fireworks this year.

Now this was a big one!
Some of them were so bright they lit up the whole beach.
You could hear the fireworks echoing all the way across the lake and beyond.
This one was a two-part firework, the initial explosion followed by a ring of explosions around the edges.
Things started to ramp up near the end!

This one was so big it feel all the way down to the water!

There were so many cool fireworks.
People of all ages came out to enjoy a night on Teal Lake.
