Marquette, MI – April 4, 2019 – Over the last three months thousands of Upper Peninsula residents signed up for a chance to be at tonight’s party and win our Rent-All Win-All Entertainment Giveaway. 240 guests joined us this evening at River Rock Lanes and Banquet Center in Ishpeming where we found our grand prize winner, Rebecca McLaren from Munising!
Opening the doors promptly at 6:30pm, Abbie and Amy welcomed people at the check-in table where guests traded their invites for finalist and door prize tickets. Abbie and Amy worked quickly to get everyone through the line and into the banquet room where attendees could settle in for the fun night ahead!
As people found their seats, emcees of the night, Adam Carpenter and Kelsey Reyes welcomed everyone to our first party of the new year! Kelsey took a moment to thank of all our major sponsors including River Rock Lanes for hosting our party, Mama Russo’s for catering the party, and Rent-All of Marquette for donating the grand prize. We also had business sponsors from all over the Upper Peninsula who donated all types of small gifts to giveaway throughout the night as door prizes. After wrapping up the thank yous to our sponsors, Adam picked up the first door prize, an oil change from Pomp’s Tire and pulled out a winning ticket.
We gave away all types of swag this evening including 4 Perform for Life water bottles with a week pass to the gym and some awesome Quality Care Care hats! Jet’s came through with some coozies and free small 1-topping pizzas and the ever popular “Bag o’ Drinks” made a return as another door prize for this party. Packed full of free drink tokens from various local bars in the Marquette County area, the crowd as loving this prize.
With several door prizes already in the hands of their new owners, Joe Mueller took over to release tables for a fresh-made dinner from Mama Russo’s. This Ishpeming based Italian catering company has served a delicious meal at our giveaway parties for years and tonight was no exception! Guests enjoyed a spread of lasagna, cudighi bites, and homemade salads. As guests chowed down on the meal, Adam continued with the door prizes getting out the last of our party favors. Wood Jewelers donated a $50 U.P. Pendant for the giveaway with The Landmark Inn providing at $50 certificate to their restaurant, The Piedmont. Seven guests also to a chance to try something new for mornings to come winning bags of Crappie Coffee, made by the roasting business based right here in Marquette.
As the last door prizes went out, Major Discount himself made his way up to the front of the room start the main event – our grand prize giveaway! One by one, the Major drew five finalists tickets inviting five lucky guests to the front of the room to choose their station envelope. With only one more finalist waiting to be called, we took a short break to play a video from Calvin, Regional Manger of Appliance and Furniture Rent-All Marquette. Calvin is out of town with his son for a national hockey tournament and could not attend tonight’s party, but still wanted to congratulate our winner. Linda from Rent-All Marquette also came up to say a few words and give some more information about the grand prize! Following the video, Todd Noordyk revealed our next major prize, a brand new Cub Cadet riding mower and hauler, plus 195 gallons of gas from Kountry Korner in Gwinn and Crossroads Mini Mart! With the new giveaway announced, it was time to pull our last finalist ticket, bringing Corin Bordine up to the front of the room to pick her envelope. With a drum roll and a count down, all of the finalist opened their envelopes at once, putting out the sheet inside. Rebecca lifted the grand prize sheet above her head and a big smile on her face. Our other five finalists didn’t go home empty handed though. Allison Coss of Marquette won a gift basket packed full of delicious snacks from Tadych’s Econo Foods with Corin Bordine from Ishpeming taking home a similar basket from Super One Foods! Alberto Flores, a college student at NMU received a Gold Star Service Pacakge from Swick Home Services with David Chevrette from Negaunee also taking home a Gold Star Service Package. Last but not least, Richard Leanna from Gwinn won a Auto Armor Detailing Package.
