Marquette, MI – February 13, 2019 – Northern Michigan University might have closed their doors for classes today, but the Summer Job Fair was still on! Great Lakes Radio’s Lauren Bareiss joined about 60 other organizations from the Michigan and Wisconsin at the University Center today to talk to students. Lauren spoke to many students about the exciting opportunities a job or internship at GLR can provide including event coverage, social media marketing, and computer repair!
This afternoon students could find job openings in just about any industry. Everything from being a camp counselor at YMCA Camp Jorn to working for Burton Industries, an Electronics Manufacturer out of Ironwood. For Criminal Justice Majors, there a number of law enforcement agencies to talk to including the Wisconsin and Michigan State Police. Biolife, Pictured Rocks Kayaking, Eagle Mine, and Marquette Golf Club were also all in attendance.
