Marquette, MI – January 29, 2019 – There isn’t anything more fresh or local than Freedom Mills. The Skandia farm grounds 100% Michigan made whole grain wheat flour made with hard red spring wheat! It’s incredibly fresh because it’s make right here in the Upper Peninsula. All of Freedom Mills flour is unbleached and stone ground.
Paul and his team at Freedom Mills just milled a brand new batch of flour last Thursday and it’s just hit the stores! Look for it around town, or just visit UPBargains.com to purchase your bag from the U.P.’s original shopping show!
Paul and his family also have a suggestion for what you should make with their flour. Give their Whole Wheat Peanut Butter Cookies a try:

- 1/2 cup butter (room temp)
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1/2 cup peanut butter (smooth or crunchy)
- 1 tsp. vanilla
