Marquette, MI – June 14, 2018 – Car Show season is here and the Marquette Charter Township is back with the 9th Annual “Catch the Vision” Car Show and Cruise! Kicking things off at 11am in the Westwood Mall parking lot by Applebee’s, the car show will feature everything from those gorgeous classics to some modern beauties.
Join us for the show from 11am to 2pm this Saturday, June 16th. New to last year’s events, we’re bringing back the popular “Burn Out” and “Rev It Up”. The “Crossroads Truck Repair Burn Out” is open to any vehicle as long as you register between 10am and 11am before the car show begins. Mike over at Crossroads will have his giant tow truck as an anchor for the vehicles and we’ll put the pedal to the metal! The driver with the most impressive burn out will receive 2 new tires from Marquette’s Pomp’s Tire. “Rev It Up” will give anyone in the show a chance to let those horses scream. We’ll hold a mic to your engine for everyone in the crowd to hear just how great your vehicle sounds. Both “Rev It Up” and “The Burn Out” will start around 11:30 in the parking lot.
On top of this yearly car show, this year we’re welcoming the New Attitudes Dance Studio to the stage to give a performance. The girls will dance to a few different numbers while you enjoy a day out in the Township. There will also be ice cream and a free brat lunch for all of the car show participants and their guests. Come down and try a delicious brat from two different Ishpeming businesses, Smokehouse Glenn and Mama Russo’s!
Great Lakes Radio and the township will be giving out prizes and hosting a Best in Show and People’s Choice contest. Make sure to stop by, check out the cars and put in your vote for People’s Choice! Around 2pm the participants will roll out for their annual 20mph cruise around Marquette Township. Check out the map on the poster to find a place to sit and watch the parade go by.
