Marquette, MI – (Great Lakes Radio) – Recent changes to state regulations have resulted in physical therapy providers having the opportunity to evaluate a potential patient and then be able to treat them for 10 sessions or 21 days without a physician referral.
Sarah Goupil, a physical therapist at Active Physical Therapy, joined Mike Plourde on the SUNNY Morning Show with Walt & Mike to discuss what this means for someone who may need physical therapy.
Goupil talked about the options that this direct access approach can give a person who is dealing with aches and pains that could be addressed with physical therapy.
She added that Active Physical Therapy can also help with any insurance questions or other issues that may need to be addressed when setting up a physical therapy regimen.
