Marquette, MI – August 8, 2017 – It’s Fair Week! The Marquette County Fair is back and there is much to look forward to. After 27 years, Marquette County sure knows how to throw a fair! With events starting Thursday, August 10th, the fair will take over the Marquette County Fairgrounds until Sunday evening, August 13th.
The fair will include events by the day while having on-going entertainment as well. Throughout fair week, you can drop the children off at Nick’s Kids Show while you try to “Walk on Water”. Every evening Jim Mitchell will be hosting hypnosis shows and the Whispering Pines Mobile Zoo will be open daily 2pm to dusk with domestic and exotic animals.
Long Oak Pony Rides will be on site for the kids with the American Legion hosting bingo all day every day! Don’t forget to visit the 4-H Activities Tent any time throughout the week for crafts and games.
Each night the fair will be hosting live music with The Eastside Ramblers playing Thursday night, Chasin’ Steel jamming out on Friday, and Trailer Hitch closing out the evening on Saturday. Sunday, the Up North Lodge and Evening Star DJ/Karaoke show will present the Talent Quest 2017 Winner’s Showcase.
