Man Arrested For Break-In Now Suspect In Car Theft

    Calumet, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – A Houghton County man who was arraigned in connection with a break-in at a Calumet auto parts store is now the suspect in two car thefts and another break-in.

    36-year-old Isaac Laplander of Calumet was charged in the break-in at Harter’s Auto Supply that occurred last week.

    Calumet Police believe a 2014 Chevy Camaro stolen from Kissel Chevrolet in Calumet early yesterday morning was taken by Laplander.

    The Camaro was located in Wisconsin and was identified by an eyewitness as being involved in a break-in at a Hurley business.

    Laplander is now also wanted by Wisconsin authorities for the break-in and another stolen car.

    Laplander was free on bond after having been arraigned on charges related to the store break-in.
