Gwinn Woman In Court For Axe Attack

    Marquette, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – A Marquette county woman arrested last weekend after trying to break into a Forsyth Township home with an axe appeared in court today.

    46-year-old Joie Lee Graves of Gwinn plead not guilty in Marquette County District Court to charges related to her arrest for allegedly using an axe to chop through the door of a home early Saturday.

    Graves is charged with one count of Malicious Destruction of a Building and one count of Illegal Entry Without the Owner’s Permission, which are both misdemeanors.

    She will be back in court for a pretrial conference on April 23rd.
