Gwinn Woman Arrested For Check Fraud

    Marquette, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – Marquette City Police have arrested a Marquette County woman for allegedly forging checks from an area business.

    32-year-old Crystal May Thomas of Gwinn was arrested on three felony counts of Uttering and Publishing.

    She was arrested following a fraud investigation into reports of forged business checks from Vultaggio Services in Marquette.

    Police allege Thomas forged the business checks for her own gain.

    Thomas was able to post bond and was released.

    Uttering and Publishing is punishable by up to 14 years in prison.
