Marquette, Michigan – October 17, 2016 – The first ever tailgate party at Marquette Senior High School Friday was an overwhelming success! The tailgate celebrated the Grand reopening of William R. Hart Stadium.  William R. Hart Stadium showed off the completion of brand new, state of the art field turf.  The tailgate party led right into the battle for the Diamond Jubilee Cup when the Marquette Redmen squared off against the Negaunee Miners.

Ryan Ranguette, John Thompsen, and Pete Colbus from JR and Friends were there with  bringing you the action live from the tailgate party. Major Discount was also on site and got to chat with MSHS Principal, Jon Young. Nancy was also there bringing you all the exciting action via Facebook Live!

There was not a bad time to be had at the free event! Aubree’s supplied pizza for everyone to chow

on while people enjoyed music, and great raffle prizes! Some lucky winners got to go home with prizes that included new mp3 players, gift certificates and new apparel! The first 100 people into the event received a coupon for a free scoop from Jilbert’s Dairy. Marquette Area Public Schools had a huge hit with this event.
