Marquette, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – The Marquette Downtown Development Authority is hosting a pair of public meetings tomorrow to gather input from the public about a proposed food truck ordinance in the city.
The Marquette City Commission recently directed city staff to work with the DDA to development of a Food Truck Ordinance to be presented to the Commission at an upcoming meeting.
DDA staff will be researching other communities and best practices to develop an ordinance that will regulate the mobile food businesses in such a way that will work to satisfy both food truck vendors and “brick and mortar” businesses.
The public input sessions are happening at the Marquette Commons on South Third Street at 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.
All interested members of the community are encouraged to attend.
