The Sled Dogs Are Coming To Marquette Next Week

    Marquette, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – The annual running of the UP 200 and Midnight Run sled dog races are just about a week away!

    Pat Torreano with the Upper Peninsula Sled Dog Association stopped in today on The SUNNY Morning Show with Walt & Mike to give an update on the latest with the event.

    Pat said the headquarters are once again at the YMCA of Marquette County facility in Marquette, and the traditional vet check will be held at Riverside of Marquette.

    Torreano explained that the starting ceremonies for the UP 200 will be held in downtown Marquette as usual, and they will also the start the Midnight Run race there as well.

    Activities get underway in downtown Marquette just after 6:30 p.m. on Friday, February 13th.

    The two race starts will be separated by an hour and will several activities will add to the excitement of Sled Dog night in Marquette.
