Houghton, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – The Upper Peninsula Power Company says yesterday’s thunderstorms resulted in power outages impacting many of their customers and several hundred are still without power.
The storms caused trees and limbs to fall on lines and poles.
Approximately 26,000 customers were without power at one time yesterday and at last report, just under 1,000 were still without power in Ontonagon, Houghton and Baraga Counties.
UPPCO crews are continuing to patrol lines and address outages as quickly as possible.
