Marquette, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – Chocolay Township Police Chief Greg Zyburt is running for Marquette County Sheriff as a Democrat.
Zyburt joined the SUNNY Morning Show with Walt & Mike today to give an update on his campaign and why he wants to do the job.
He shared a bit of his background of 36 years in law enforcement and his community history.
Zyburt talked about the administrative background he has and how he would bring that experience to the position of Sheriff if elected.
He also talked about how he is planning to address a series of issues facing the Sheriff’s Office ranging from revenue shortfalls to coalitions between area law enforcement agencies.
Zyburt also encouraged everyone to get out and vote as the race for Sheriff will be decided on August 2nd.
All of the candidates currently running are Democrats and the election is set up as a primary which will decide the Democratic candidate for the office.
