Marquette, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – A bill introduced by 110th District State Representative Scott Dianda honoring local veterans has been signed into law.
The measure names a bridge in Ontonagon County as the Ontonagon County Veterans Memorial Bridge, Dianda says the bill received overwhelming support in both the state House and Senate.
The Calumet Democrat introduced the bill last summer following a recommendation from the Ontonagon County Veterans’ Association, which has been in operation for 10 years.
The bridge is located in Ontonagon Township on M-64 over the Ontonagon River.
