Marquette, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – The Marquette City Commission will be taking up regulations for food trucks at their regular meeting tonight.

The Commission will be discussing policies for usage of public streets for vending by food trucks.

City officials say the current ordinance does not regulate the issue and they are looking to develop a fair solution addressing concerns from brick and mortar restaurant operators.

The Commission is also expected to hear an update on the status of the closure of a portion of Lakeshore Boulevard as well as a proposal from city staff to decommission and sell the city’s Arabesque Tent.

The meeting will be at 7:00 p.m. at Marquette City Hall.
