Marquette Hospital Implements Flu Restrictions

    Marquette, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – Officials with UP Health System – Marquette are taking precautions to prevent the spread of the flu with visitor restrictions.

    Key restrictions now in effect at the Marquette facility include children under 14 not being permitted to enter the Hospital or Health System buildings except for medical appointments or an emergency department visits.

    Anyone ill with fever, chills, sore throat or other flu-like symptoms is being asked to not visit patients.

    Only two visitors are being permitted per patient, which is limited to the patient’s immediate family or significant other, and the patient’s advocate.

    Other visitor restrictions are in effect as well and will remain until further notice.
