Marquette, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – The driver of a delivery truck involved in an accident with a motorcycle that claimed the lives of two people last June in Ishpeming appeared in 96th District Court today for sentencing.

19-year-old Raymond Anderson of Ishpeming received a 12 month delay of sentence.

Anderson plead guilty in October to two counts of moving violation causing death in an accident on US-41 at Lakeshore Drive that killed 64-year-old Gary Kappler of Ahmeek and 52-year-old Diane Palosaari of Mohawk.

Anderson must complete an online driving safety course, avoid alcohol and non-prescribed drugs and pay a number of fines.

If he completes it without incident the offense will be cleared from Anderson’s record.
