Marquette, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – A Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until tomorrow morning.
The National Weather Service says heavy snows will continue in area through tonight.
Snow may fall briefly heavy at times into tomorrow morning.
Blowing snow will continue to hamper visibility, especially in open areas near Lake Superior.
Look for additional snowfall amounts of up to 9 inches today and another 3 to 6 inches tonight, with the greatest amounts in the higher terrain from the Huron Mountains to Ishpeming, Negaunee and Gwinn.
Travel will continue to be difficult due to heavy snow, snow covered roads and blowing snow.
Travel may become treacherous or impossible tonight during the periods of heaviest snow.
