Marquette, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – Marquette Junior Hockey is hosting a fundraising dinner event this Monday at Vango’s in Marquette.
MJH Board Member Eric Froberg and President Doug Anderson joined the SUNNY Morning Show with Walt & Mike this week to talk about the event and other activities they have going on.
Anderson said a pizza and pasta buffet is being held Monday from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Vango’s Restaurant in Marquette.
He said tickets are $8.00 and all proceeds will go to fund Marquette Junior Hockey programs.
Froberg said Marquette Junior Hockey is also inviting boys and girls to Lakeview Arena on Saturday, November 8th for a “Try Hockey For Free” clinic as part of Come Play Hockey Month.
He added the event starts at 11:00 a.m. and local youth, ages 4 to 9, are encouraged to experience ice hockey for the first time and learn the basic skills in a fun and safe environment.
