Marquette, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – Michigan Attorney General Bill Schuette has announced an investigation into an alleged murder-for-hire involving an employee of Aramark, the food service vendor for the state’s prisons.

Schuette says the Attorney General’s Criminal Division will review the evidence and materials in this case and conduct an independent and thorough investigation.

It was reported last week that a food service worker at Kinross Correctional Facility in the eastern U.P. approached an inmate to have another inmate killed.

There have been two other incidents recently of Aramark employees arrested for trying to smuggle drugs into state prisons and engaging in sex acts with inmates.
