One Person Injured In Motorcycle-Deer Accident

    Marquette, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – State Police at the St. Ignace post say one person was injured in a weekend motorcycle-deer accident in Doyle Township.

    Troopers say a 55-year-old Cooks man was heading east on US-2 near County Road 438 on a motorcycle around 9:30 yesterday morning when he struck two deer that ran onto the highway.

    The man was taken to Schoolcraft Memorial Hospital in Manistique for non-life threatening injuries.

    Troopers say the man was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident. The name of the driver has not been released.
