Marquette, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – Teachers in the Marquette Area Public School District have voted to ratify a contract offer presented to them late last month by the Marquette Area Public Schools Board of Education.
Reports say the contract was approved by a vote of 132-12, with 85% voter turnout.
Teachers voted on the contract yesterday evening after the proposal was recently tentatively agreed to by both sides.
The MAPS Board of Education will take up the vote at their next regularly scheduled meeting on September 22nd.
