Marquette, MI- (Great Lakes Radio News) – A ribbon-cutting and award presentation ceremony was held today at a new playground facility in Marquette County’s Tilden Township.
The township received a $27,500 grant from the Michigan DNR through the Recreation Passport Grant Program.
The township used the funds to support its National Mine Playground Project and the Tilden Township Recreation Complex.
The Recreation Complex is located at 7455 County Road PB in National Mine.
The playground can accommodate thirty five children at one time.
The Recreation Complex is open to residents and the surrounding communities.
Both the Recreation Complex and the adjoining parking lot are handicapped accessible.
