Marquette, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – The Marquette Area Blues Fest is just around the corner and there is still a need for volunteers.

Marquette Area Blues Society President Mark Hamari stopped in on the SUNNY Morning Show with Walt & Mike to encourage folks to come to the 11th annual festival over the Labor Day weekend in Marquette and volunteer for the various needed shifts.

Hamari explained that if you buy a ticket for the event and work two four-hour shifts anytime over the festival period, you will receive a free festival t-shirt and have your ticket price reimbursed.

He also went over the process of signing up for a volunteer shift through the blues society’s website.

Hamari added that shifts volunteered for during the set-up and tear-down for the festival grounds count and that they are easy ways to work four hours.

He also talked about the festival lineup and how you can buy tickets for the event.
