Harris, MI – May 25, 2016 – Today, the Island Resort and Casino hosted an event (and an American Barbecue style lunch) for many of the surrounding area’s media sources, including Great Lakes Radio, to officially reveal the events for the 2016 U.P. State Fair. Representatives from both the casino and the U.P. State Fair announced the theme of the fair, the Grandstand Entertainment line up and various other forms of entertainment that will be featured at the 2016 U.P. State Fair.
This year’s theme is “Red, White and Blue, This Fair Is For You.” The Grandstand Lineup will include: Sick Air on Tuesday, Aug. 16; Dan + Shay on Wednesday, Aug. 17; Brett Michaels on Thursday, Aug. 18; Herman’s Hermits on Friday, Aug. 19; UPIR Stock Car Racing on Saturday, Aug. 20 and Mud Drags on Sunday, Aug. 21 . This year the fair will also continue through Sunday until dusk with a fireworks show to wrap up the festivities. All Grandstand Entertainment is sponsored by the Island Resort and Casino.
