Marquette, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – Fire crews battled a house fire in Marquette Township for several hours yesterday.
The fire at a home on South Vandenboom Road was reported around 4:00 p.m.
Reports say the family was not at home at the time of the fire and their pets were evacuated from the home safely.
The house fire also caused a small brush fire that was handled quickly by crews responding to the scene.
No injuries have been reported and the home was a total loss.
The cause of the fire is not known at this time.
