Marquette, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – Some key figures in the history of the sport of skiing stopped in today on the SUNNY Morning Show with Walt & Mike.
Olympian and World Champion Downhiller Kirsten Clark and Freestyle Skiing Pioneer Wayne Wong joined Sports Director Mike Plourde to talk about their careers.
The stop was part of activities being held this weekend for the annual induction of new members to the US Ski & Snowboard Hall of Fame in Ishpeming.
The duo also chatted about what it’s like to be recognized and honored by the U.S. Ski and Snowboard Hall of Fame.
Both Clark and Wong shared some of their favorite memories and experiences from their competitive days and explained how they were grateful to have the successes they reached in the world of competitive skiing.
