MARQUETTE, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – State Police in the Upper Peninsula are still looking for two suspects who posed as U.S. Marshalls and held two Baraga County residents at gunpoint demanding $10,000 ransom from family members, while threatening to shoot them.
The victims were unharmed, but the suspects stole a handgun and their identifications. The incident happened Thursday afternoon in the village of Watton in Covington Township.
State Police say the suspects were driving a Cadillac Escalade pickup truck and were last seen driving east on M-28. Anyone with information should contact their nearest police agency.
