Boy Found After Missing 5 Hours

    U.P._News_UpdateMARQUETTE, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News)The Houghton County Sheriff’s Department says a six-year-old boy is back with his family after going missing for nearly five hours in Houghton County yesterday.

    Deputies say the boy walked away from his family while berry picking in Schoolcraft Township.

    An intensive ground and air search lasted about five hours.  The boy was spotted on a nearby logging trail by a DNR plane four miles from his family’s home.  Search and rescue units responded using GPS coordinates to locate the boy.

    He was found unharmed with only a few bug bites.
