MARQUETTE, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – Terri Lynn Land, former Michigan Secretary of State and Republican National Committeewoman has filed the paperwork needed to run for the U.S. Senate in 2014.
Land is the first Republican to enter the race to succeed retiring Democratic U.S. Senator Carl Levin.
During a stop in Marquette this week, Land stopped in at the SUNNY FM studios to discuss her candidacy and why she is running.
Land says as part of her run for the seat she will be hitting the road over the next few months on a listening tour to hear how Washington D.C. could be improved.
