Marquette, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – A Lake Effect Snow Warning is in effect for Marquette and Alger Counties until 7:00 a.m. tomorrow.
Moderate to heavy lake effect snow will continue to develop this morning into tonight especially for locations east of Harvey and over to Grand Marias. Northwest winds gusting as high as 45 mph will create blustery conditions near Lake Superior to the east of Marquette. Wind chill readings will be possibly as low as 25 below zero through tonight. Blowing and drifting of snow will lead to possibly dangerous travel today and tonight.
