MARQUETTE, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – M-DOT says the M-26 reconstruction project in Laurium remains on schedule, and contractors are moving on to the next phase of work today.
The project is reconstructing about 1 mile of M-26 in downtown Laurium, from Isle Royale Street to Boundary Street, and on Osceola Street from M-26 to Aspirus Keweenaw Hospital.
The project includes recreating historic concrete pavement, installing sidewalks and lighting, and improving underground water main and drainage. The entire project is scheduled to be completed by Oct. 31.
