MARQUETTE, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – Summer tax bills totaling approximately $30 million will be mailed to Marquette City property owners tomorrow.
The due date for payment of City summer taxes was changed from August 4th to September 14th as a result of voter approval of the new City Charter last November.
Tax collection begins on Monday and payments are accepted at the City Treasurer’s Office without interest through September 14th.
The 2013 summer property tax bill represents millage levies for City, Senior Millage, Library, Schools, DDA, State Education, County Operating, and Heritage Authority.
