MARQUETTE, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – Michigan State Police at the Sault Ste. Marie Post will be adding road patrols aimed at stopping aggressive driving on M-123 in Chippewa and Luce Counties during the summer travel season.
The increased patrols will focus on safe driving enforcement during this tourist season with the goal of reducing the number of traffic crashes.
The portion of M-123 between Chippewa and Luce Counties is highly traveled for the tourist season as people travel to their vacation destinations in the region.
Troopers say the amount of traffic significantly increases in both counties during Memorial Day and Labor Day.
