MARQUETTE, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – The popular “Iron, Steel and the Automobile” antique car show will return to the Michigan Iron Industry Museum in Negaunee Township this Sunday. The event features dozens of automobiles and light trucks dating from 1900 through 1969.
Museum Historian Troy Henderson visited The SUNNY Morning Show with Walt & Mike to preview the exhibit, which runs from Noon to 4:00 p.m.
Henderson says the activity commemorates the historic link between Michigan’s iron, steel and automotive industries, which has been a defining feature of the state for more than 110 years.
Henderson added that there will be live traditional jazz, swing and oldies music being performed along with a strolling barbershop quartet to enjoy. Food concessions provided by Teaching Family Homes.
Henderson says Museum admission is free, but there is a suggested parking donation of $3 per vehicle to attend the car show.
