MARQUETTE, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – A Marquette County man is facing six felonies in connection with a fatal traffic accident in March in Delta County.
24-year-old Harley Durocher of Gwinn is charged with two counts of operating with a suspended license causing death, two counts of reckless driving causing death and two counts of operating with the presence of a controlled substance causing death.
The charges come after review of the accident by the Delta County Prosecutor. The accident happened at the intersection of US 2 & 41 and South Hill Road in Gladstone on March 20.
Durocher is accused of running a red light at the intersection while driving a semi-truck and hitting a car driven by 73-year-old Thomas Swift of Gladstone. Swift was killed in the crash and his 73-year-old wife Barbara died of her injuries days later.
