Marquette Woman Arrested in Minnesota on Murder Charge


    Great Lakes Radio News UpdateMARQUETTE, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – An Upper Michigan woman has been arrested in Duluth, Minnesota for fatally stabbing another woman.

    Police responded to a report of a stabbing at a residence on the 100 block of East Fifth Street in Duluth just before noon Central Time yesterday.

    They found the victim, 46-year-old Lisa Kay Davis of Duluth, inside the residence and she was transported to a local hospital, where she later died.

    Police say the suspect is a 29-year-old woman from Marquette, who was new to the area. The Marquette woman was an acquaintance of the victim, and was found in a rear bedroom of the residence. She was arrested on a charge of second-degree murder.

    An autopsy is pending and the investigation is continuing.
