Wisconsin Man Sentenced for Homicide


    Great Lakes Radio News UpdateMARQUETTE, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – A Wisconsin man was sentenced yesterday to over twenty years in prison for a fatal drunk driving accident that killed an Ishpeming boy last fall.

    Timothy Christ, 28, of Wausaukee was sentenced to 18 years behind bars plus 12 years of extended supervision on one count of Homicide by Intoxicated Use of Vehicle.  He was also sentenced to three years, plus an additional three years of extended supervision, on three counts of Operating While Intoxicated-Causing Injury.

    The accident happened last October 5th when Christ left a Middle Inlet, WI bar just before midnight on US-141 and proceeded north in the southbound lane with his lights off, crashing his pickup truck head-on into an oncoming car.

    The crash killed 13-year-old Christopher Croley and seriously injured his mother and two sisters.
