Names Release in Three-Vehicle Accident in Marquette


    Great Lakes Radio News UpdateMARQUETTE, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News)The Marquette County Sheriff’s Office has released the names of the people involved in a three car accident yesterday afternoon in Marquette Township.

    The accident happened around 1:15 p.m. near the intersection of U.S. 41 and County Road HIA when a 2008 GMC Acadia, driven by 86-year-old Lester Passinault of Marquette, pulled out of the Lowe’s store into the path of a westbound 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee driven by 39-year-old Traci Champion of Ishpeming.

    Passinault’s vehicle was then hit into the path of an eastbound 2009 Pontiac G6 driven by 62-year-old Mary Keough of Marquette. Champion was taken to  MGH for treatment. Passinault and Keough sough their own medical treatment for neck and back pain.

    Passinault was cited for Failure to Yield the right of way.
