Single Vehicle Accident in Alger County Sends Driver to MGH

    Great Lakes Radio News UpdateMARQUETTE, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) State Police at the Negaunee Post responded to an early morning traffic accident today in Alger County.

    The accident happened on M-28 near M-94 in Munising Township around 4:45 a.m. when a vehicle driven by 30-year-old Cori Lumbert of Gwinn went out of control and struck a guardrail.

    Lumbert was extricated from her vehicle and was taken to Marquette General Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

    Troopers say alcohol appears to have been a factor in the accident and it remains under investigation.
