Public Meeting Tonight In Marquette On Proposed Lake Superior Shoreline Restoration Plan

    MARQUETTE, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – A public meeting is being held tonight in Marquette to discuss ideas for the proposed future plans for a section of Lake Superior shoreline along Lakeshore Boulevard.

    Carl Lindquist, Director of the Superior Watershed Partnership, joined The SUNNY Morning Show with Walt & Mike to discuss the meeting.

    Lindquist explained that the City of Marquette is hosting the meeting in cooperation with the Superior Watershed Partnership.

    According to Lindquist, the purpose of the meeting is to review and gather public input on five concepts that have been developed for the potential redesign and restoration of a 3,000 foot section of the shoreline.

    The meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m. in the Citizen’s Forum room of Lakeview Arena.
