Movie Filmed in Michigan Opens Today

    Great Lakes Radio NewsMARQUETTE, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News)The much-talked about feature film “Oz the Great and Powerful,” filmed in Michigan, opens today.

    And the Majority leader in the Michigan Senate who was allowed an advanced screening, called it an “epic movie.”

    Senate Republican Randy Richardville, a key supporter of state support of the film industry, says “it’s going to become a classic, people will watch it for years.”  He also reminds movie-goers to watch the credits at the end because “the credits seem as long as the movie, and they put pretty much every Michiganian who worked on the movie in the credits.”

    The credits also end with a thank you to Michigan and Pure Michigan.
