Marquette, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – Officials with UP Health System-Marquette say they have finalized the purchase of the Roundhouse Property in south Marquette.
The real estate transaction was completed yesterday, following the Marquette City Commission approval of both the sale and the designation of the site as a Brownfield property last week.
The purchase covers a 37-acre site located between Baraga Avenue and Washington Street, which will be the site of UP Health System’s new $300 million 265-bed hospital and an 80,000-square foot medical office building.
Groundbreaking slated for this spring and construction is expected to be completed in late 2018.
